The meaning of “Australian Made” differs from person to person. Here, at The Mylk Society we want to make things 100% transparent.

We are not one of those small businesses ordering cheap and nasty products from overseas and slapping Australian Made on it just because we are an Australian business.

Our Australian Made Collection means every single part of the design and product process comes from an Australian company. We have chosen to have worked with over 12 small Australian businesses to bring you amazing quality products that will last wash after wash and support Australian families be employed in the textile manufacturing industry. They specialise in economical, environmentally friendly textiles reducing waste and are all Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) accredited.

Here is the breakdown of our products and where each component is from:

The Sydney Nursing T-Shirt, Avalon Breastfeeding Snap Tank and the Balmain Breastfeeding V-Neck Tank are all products in our Australian made Collection.

These are made from certified 100% organic cotton or bamboo, by ethically accredited, carbon-neutral fabric mills in Victoria, Australia.

The benefits of using organic cotton include better health for consumers and farmers, environmental conservation and sustainability and most importantly the soft texture of the fabric.

Organic cotton means that throughout the entire manufacturing process from field to fabric there are no toxic fertilisers or chemicals used.

The snaps and zips are made from a manufacturer that specialises in sustainability in Sydney, Australia.

Our dye-house in Sydney, Australia uses dyes that are non-toxic and free from harmful chemicals. The process is water-efficient and treats waste effluents, as well as capturing and reusing water during the washing processes.

When it comes to putting it all together, we use a Sydney based manufacturer, that employs a small team of seamstresses who are such a lovely bunch of women that take extra care in each stitch.

We are not in the business of fast-fashion and we want to make sure we give back to Australia’s economy by bringing you amazing designs that are made with love and care from our country to help you with your breastfeeding journey.

Thank you for supporting an ALL Australian Made breastfeeding fashion small business.

Whilst we would never tell you our trade secrets and protect our supplier information, we guarantee that our Australian Made Collection products are supporting Australian families.
